The Rolling Process of Pressure Vessel Plate is a key component in their manufacturing process. A 3-roll or 4-roll plate bending rolls can be used to conduct the process. Herein the material is passed through the rollers so as to reduce their thickness and make the plates uniform. The rolling process also helps to impart desirable mechanical properties to the pressure vessel plate.
The Pressure Vessel Plate is generally made up of different grades of steel, which are particularly used in pressure vessels, heat exchangers and applications taking place at elevated temperatures. The Pressure Vessel Steel Plate can also be used in any vessel containing liquid and gas at high temperature and thus they can be found in chemical and petrochemical industries. There are different types of Pvq Steel Plate and their physical and mechanical properties might vary according to their chemical composition. The Pvq Plate is manufactured following international standards so as to ensure maximum safety and functionality of the products.
There are multiple grades of Pressure Vessel Plate like A537 is the most common grade. The lesser known grades would include TC128, ASTM A612, and ASTM A285.
The main difference between Pressure Vessel Steel Plate and Corten Steel Plate is in their appearance. While the galvanized steel has a dull, matt gray appearance, the Corten steel has a rust-colored appearance. This is due to the development of a protective layer on the surface of the material when it is exposed to various environmental elements.
