The chemical composition of sa 387 gr 12 cl 2 and cl 1 are same but they have different mechanical properties. The SA 387 GR.12 CL.2 Plate material has higher tensile and yield strength than class 1 material. However, the elongation percentage for both A387 Grade 12 Class 2 and class 1 are the same in 50mm, and slightly greater for class 2 in 200mm.
